It was the summer of 2016 when my best friend from Vancouver decided to come visit Europe. We visited several countries, with our last stop being Budapest, Hungary. We caught a train up there and met a DJ friend of mine to show us around and what’s good in the city. I had this particular wish of doing this pressed pill called “smiley” I had done a while back. He brought us to a club located in the center of the city. We had to use an old fashioned elevator to reach the club that was located on the top floor. He helped connect us with an individual who seemed to be the last person in Budapest to own such a rarity. The connect had told us that he indeed had this pill “smiley” and was saving it for his pill collection of all the pressed pills made in Europe, but eventually agreed to give it to us.

A few hours later, the three of us split it and had a driver drive us to my DJ friend's place to hangout. Once it kicked in for us, the feeling was unreal. From dragon looking cartoons on the floor, to feeling just certain parts of the body, the thrill was amazing. My friend said she experienced the emotions of just conquering a battle and walking out onto a field with the sun starting to rise. We all emerged into a well-being state. It was around lunch time, when my friend and I decided to head back into the city-center to enjoy some mimosas and hitch a ride from someone driving along the cobblestone streets. We wasted our time wisely, with our carry-ons rattling beside us, until our train was taking off later on in the day heading back to Romania. However, as day drinking usually goes, we were wasted, and I decided to call my ex-boyfriend to drive and come pick us up from Hungary. Such a sweetheart he was - he and his friend drove to come pick us up and so spared us the hustle of facing all the train control officers in our state. So we blasted techno, lit a cigarette and rolled down the windows…
